This workshop focuses on color and temperature in the Direct Painting method, done in one layer with no underpainting. It demonstrates the effective use of a limited palette, dividing an artist's conception of color into warms, cools, and neutrals.

This course teaches the mode of Direct Painting, where the paint is simply mixed on the palette to the desired value/temperature/color and applied directly to the painting without changing the transparency or opacity of the paint, and without calculating effects from various layers/behaviors of paint.
